SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP)
Security Operations
Course Overview
The SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP) Security Operations is a full-time structured training programme designed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed for operational and supervisory roles in the security sector.
The course covers guard and patrol operations, access control management, incident handling, threat recognition, surveillance operations, crowd and traffic control, and security screening of persons, bags and vehicles. Training incorporates both classroom learning and hands-on experience with exposure to emerging technologies like robotics in security surveillance alongside established security practices.
The programme builds competencies that meet industry requirements, preparing participants to oversee security operations, supervise staff and manage incidents across different environments from commercial facilities to protected areas. Career support includes advisory services, employment assistance and industry experience components to prepare participants for the job market. Job placement is not guaranteed and participants should be prepared to consider opportunities with security companies, facility operators, and other organisations requiring security operations expertise.
