Opening in 2023, Artyzen Singapore will be the first new hotel added to Singapore’s Orchard Road district in over a decade. What was once the sprawling home of the late Tan Hoon Siang (grandson of Singapore philanthropist Tan Tock Seng) is being transformed into a 20-story luxury property. The 142 rooms will sport a distinctive aesthetic, fusing reinterpreted facets of Peranakan art and style with contemporary design.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the Security department efficiently as according to the established concept statement. Provide a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times.
- Patrol hotel premises to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and property.
- Monitor and control access to the hotel, including screening visitors and checking IDs.
- Identify and address security risks, such as suspicious behavior, safety hazards, and fire hazards.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports, and take appropriate action as needed.
- Maintain a visible presence and respond to guest inquiries and requests for assistance.
- Coordinate with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and front desk, to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency services to respond to emergencies.
- Enforce hotel policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.
- Conduct regular security inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance security knowledge and skills
Qualifications:
- Security and fire safety certifications are required.
- Previous experience in hotel security operations is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and under pressure.
- Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
- Must be physically fit and able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as a team.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Adaptable and outgoing with excellent interpersonal skill.
- Ability to work under pressure and be flexible as part of the pre-opening team.
